Executive Director, Images and Algorithms Program

AT Tasneem, PhD is the Executive Director of the Images and Algorithms (I&A) Program at Project Data Sphere, an independent initiative of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer focused on fighting cancer through open-access data sharing and oncology-focused research program initiatives. Since joining in 2019, she has led a team of key stakeholders from pharma, academia, and the FDA, overseeing the vision, planning, and execution of the program which is focused on clinical imaging and artificial intelligence. She is passionate about data sharing and has led internal data-sharing efforts at Project Data Sphere. 

Prior to joining Project Data Sphere, Dr. Tasneem led the development of the AACT database (Aggregate Analysis dataset from ClinicalTrials.gov), funded by CTTI (Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative) - a public-private partnership between Duke and the FDA. She also led Duke Research Institute's SOAR (Supporting Open Access for Researchers) data sharing program and was the lead informaticist expert for the NIH Collaboratory program - an NIH funded program which supports the design and rapid execution of pragmatic clinical trial. 

Dr. Tasneem received her PhD in Biophysics and Computational Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has published 17 data-driven manuscripts in leading journals - JAMA, NEJM, NAR, and PLoS ONE.
